5) His Promises Are True

The Lord placed Adam and Eve on vantage ground in the Garden of Eden.  They were given marvelous assurances and promises.  But through their disobedience they forfeited their Eden home and aborted God's promises, except for God's intervention.  After the flood God called Abraham (Genesis 12:1-3), but his descendants were not faithful.  Finally, Jesus had to tell the Jewish leaders that the promises of the kingdom would be taken from them. (Matthew 21:43)  Since Adam and Eve lost the promises in a garden, it is fitting that Christ reclaims them in a garden (John 19:41).
