Ground Beef Substitute

 

  • 2 c. bulgur wheat
  • 4 c. boiling water
  • 2 c. pecan meal
  • 2 onions, chopped
  • 1/4 c. Yeast Flakes
  • 3 tbsp. sesame seeds, whizzed up
  • 1 tsp. sage
  • 3 garlic cloves, chopped
  • 1 tbsp. parsley
  • 2 tsp. salt

 

  1. Add ingredients to boiling water.
  2. Stir and simmer for 5 min.
  3. Pour onto cooking sheet with sides and bake at 350 for 1 ½ to 2 hours, stirring every 30 min.
  4. It should resemble ground beef when finished.

NOTE: Use in any dish requiring ground beef. Can be frozen.
