Quick Pizza Crust
  • 1 c. water
  • 1 tbsp. active dry yeast
  • 1 1/2 c. whole wheat flour
  • 1 c. barley flour or unbleached flour
  • 1 tbsp. honey
  • 1/2 tbsp. salt
  • 2 tbsp. barley flour
  • 2 tbsp. fine cornmeal
  1. Heat water to 115 degrees. Stir yeast into heated water. Stir in remaining ingredients except last two.
  2. Sprinkle 2 tablespoons barley flour on counter and turn dough out to knead at for about 2 minutes. sprinkle cornmeal onto two 12” ungreased pizza pans or cookie sheets.
  3. Divide dough and roll into two large circles.
  4. Place on pizza pans and bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Serves 6.
